Abstract: | The main goal of this report is to track the A Better Childhood Development and Education for All (ABCDE- for all) project’s implementation status in terms of geographic location and scheduled activities. Furthermore, the report is purposefully written to provide compelling grounds for the renewal of the agreement reached with the (Amhara) Bureau of Finance and Economics Development (BoFED) and other signatory government entities. |
Description: | The project described in the project proposal document "A Better Childhood Development and Education for All" has been implemented in the North Wollo Zone's Lasta and Lalibela woredas, the West Gojjam Zone's Bahir Dar Zuria woreda, and the South Gondar Administrative Zone's Ebinat Woreda. The project has several key goals, including expanding community practice on early childhood care and development for infants aged 0-3, and increasing access for children (ages 4-6) to community-managed Early Childhood Care and Development /ECCD centers. PIE reported that the organization completed the project with full and active participation of stakeholders, based on a five-year agreement between Plan International Ethiopia and the Bureau of Finance Economic Development, Region Women Children and Youth Bureau, and Amhara Education Bureau from January 2012 to June 2017. |
