Abstract: Supporting parents with low educational attainment in gaining the skills they need to properly support their children's development from birth to age eight.
Description: The curriculum looks at how parents with limited educational backgrounds can improve their ability to effectively assist their children's development from birth to age eight. Through a specific parenting education technique, it tries to harness the greatest parenting practices already in place in the community in order to establish new effective practices. This technique assists parents in determining what they want for their children and developing the skills necessary to achieve their objectives. Its goal is to develop community-wide early childhood leadership as well as a long-term skills base for supporting and directing community-wide child health, learning, and protection initiatives.
