Abstract: The purpose of this module is to familiarize pre-primary school teacher trainees with the concept of special needs and inclusive education in order to help them communicate with and assist their students successfully.
Description: Human beings have particular needs that are unique to their personalities. Special needs education/science demonstrates that it is possible to raise children in the preschool and early childhood years by recognizing, identifying, and assisting them with their needs in order to develop into a competent, active, and productive citizen with a balanced personality capable of meeting these needs. As such, this module is designed to equip pre-primary school teachers with the skills necessary to work with awareness. The module is broken into two chapters; the first examines the concept and foundations of special education, while the second discusses how to teach children with special needs.
