    Authors: African Child Policy Forum
    Keywords: Research Report
    Issue Date: Sep-2006
    Publisher: African Child Policy Forum
Abstract: The study's goal was to gain a comprehensive understanding of birth registration at all levels so that a proposal for a multi-stakeholder approach to a fully effective Ethiopian birth registration system that is compulsory, universal, permanent, and continuous could be developed.
Description: The goal of the study was to look into people's and institutions' attitudes toward birth registration, as well as practices related to the issuance of birth certificates by various institutions, the policy and legal environment for birth registration enforcement, the barriers to a birth registration system, and the impact and effect of the lack of a birth registration system on achieving human rights, children's rights, and development goals.
