| Description: | The episode begins by the voice of children shouting to each other by saying to each other, “I am right but you are wrong’. Mama Mango interferes and asks the children why they perceive themselves as right and their friends as wrong. One of the children replies because he is right but his friend is wrong. Then, Mama Mango informs the children that she is going to tell a story and at the end asks them who is wrong and who is right. Mama Mango tells the story and when she finishes telling she asks the children which character in the story is right and which one is wrong. The children reply by saying this one wrong and that one is rights. She again asks why one of the children could not climb a Mango tree. The children reply that he is a child with disability and cannot not climb a tree. The woman continues to sing a song for the children and the song is about diversity in human perspective and the importance of mutual understanding. Then, she informs the children that what is wrong for someone could be right for the other and this is called perspective. She reiterates to the children that they have to be in the shoes their friends and understand their perspectives which results in mutual understanding. This episode is important because it helps children improve their social skills and have good relationships with other persons through understanding their perspectives. The episode is child friendly because the activities are playful and engaging. |
