After having trained with this manual, the practitioners will have the knowledge and skills to: • Monitor the development of children since birth, recognize risk factors for poor development from pregnancy to 5 years, and take appropriate action. • Prioritize and counsel caregivers on responsive care and early learning activities (for example, playing and talking with children appropriately) to promote child development. • Share messages on care for child development at preventive services starting in pregnancy and promote playbox sessions in health facility waiting rooms and pediatric wardsen_US
