dc.description | The teaching guidelines (Afan Oromo ) for the accelerated learning program make it clear that it was created primarily for youngsters aged 6 years old. The program was created to be delivered within 32 weeks of a child's first day of primary school. The guidelines cover pre-literacy and numeracy, as well as socio-emotional and science skills. While the guide is useful for teachers in terms of directing what preschool children should learn, it also encourages teachers to be creative in terms of what and how they teach children in light of the realities of their localities. | en_US |
