Abstract: | The purpose of the audio materials is to provide children the context in which they learn through diverse play activities and obtain holistic development. |
Description: | The package contains PlayMatters skill-building packages, PlayMatters infrastructure and materials packages, targeted concepts, skills & expected outcomes, teacher continuous professional development model, and systems strengthening and policy integration approaches at national, sub-national and local levels. The skill building activities include teachers training, school leader training, continuous professional teaching & learning materials development and community engagement. The material/infrastructural development comprises Enabling School Environment and Teaching & Learning Materials. The teacher Professional Development Model includes approaches to focusing on trainers/ supervisors (local level system actors), school leaders, and teachers. The package presents that PlayMatters works with and through education systems with a goal of influencing policies related to active learning and building sustainable systems for LtP integration and uptake. PlayMatters recognizes the different mandates of system actors at different levels, working with policy provisions, education structures and existing mechanisms/systems at national, subnational and local levels. |
